Finale - Review

Will love conquer all?

Nora and Patch thought their troubles were behind them. Yeah right! This book wouldn't be part of the Hush, Hush series if everything was over... Hank is gone now and they should be able to put his ugly vendetta to rest. But in Hank's absence, Nora has become the unwitting head of the Nephilim and must finish what Hank began. Which ultimately means destroying the fallen angels - destroying Patch.

Nora will never let that happen, so she and Patch make a plan: lead everyone to believe they have broken up, and work the system from the inside. Nora will convince the Nephilim that they are making a mistake in fighting the fallen angels, and Patch will find out everything he can from the opposing side. They will end this war before it can even begin.

But the best-laid plans often go awry. Nora is put through the paces in her new role and finds herself drawn to an addictive power she never anticipated.

As the battle lines are drawn, Nora and Patch must confront the differences that have always been between them and either choose to ignore them or let them destroy the love they have always fought for...

Plot - ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ All right I know there have been mixed feelings about Finale, but I have to say I enjoyed it. I didn't think it was amazing but it wasn't horrible either. It falls in the middle for me so three stars is a decent grading for me. The plot was a little disappointing, but it could have been a lot worse. Nora and Patch are back and I would have to say that Becca Fitzpatrick was pushing it when she broke Nora and Patch up...again. I know it was all for show, but it really got on my nerves. I thought the plot was just pulled out of thin air, but at the same time not. It was a little weird to me.

Writing - ☆ ☆ ☆ The writing was the same as always and that was both a good thing and a bad thing. Because the writing was pretty much the same I felt like I was having Deja vu moment. Some parts of the book I thought I had read before.

Characters - ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ I don't know why but I wasn't really... All right in the last book I was happy when the old characters came back. Nora, Patch, Vee, Scott etc. etc. But this time it wasn't like the last. I wasn't bouncing with joy when Nora, Patch- all right thats a lie. I was very happy when Patch came back in the picture...very happy indeed. Sorry I had to have a little swoon moment for Patch... Anyway back to the review. I don't know why I wasn't totally excited like I was last time.

Nora - I was very happy when Nora got a back bone, but she got it the wrong way... She did things she shouldn't have. And to me that is a big no-no.

Patch - I've got nothing to say about him... He was perfect like always. Well I do have one thing to say he started to show more emotion and more love towards Nora. I really liked that. He wasn't a hard brick wall this time and it was refreshing.

Vee - All right I was getting seriously pissed off when Vee went all high and mighty about how Patch is a psychopath. She would know, she did date one once upon a time...

Scott - Scott transformed from would be bad ass to protective brother-figure to Nora. I'll always love Scott and what he stood for...

Dante - You know I liked Dante at first, but as the book progressed...not so much. I started to hate him- no thats not right. I started to loathe him with a passion.

Marcie - I've never liked her... In this book I sort of did, but I knew she was up to something. And come to find out I was right, she was up to no good.

Overall I give Finale - ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ out of ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆
